Vi Social's token distribution strategy is designed to align with our mission of becoming the social identity infrastructure layer connecting crypto to billions of social media users. The distribution model prioritizes long-term ecosystem sustainability while ensuring proper incentives for all stakeholders.

Token Distribution

$VI is the core governance token that powers the strategic direction of the Vi ecosystem. The Vi token has an initial supply of 100,000,000,000.

The total token supply is distributed across four key stakeholder groups, structured to support sustainable growth and adoption.

Community & Ecosystem

The largest allocation goes to community and ecosystem development. This allocation will fuel the growth of applications building on Vi's social identity infrastructure. 100% of this allocation will go to support community and developer growth.

The initial airdrop is slated to be 32% of the total supply.

Core contributors

The core contributor allocation comprises 24% of the total supply, subject to a four-year vesting period. All tokens are locked up to one year and then vest linearly across the next three years.

Foundation

A foundation treasury receives 10% of the supply. These tokens will support ongoing operations, enable strategic partnerships, and provide emergency reserves when needed. This allocation ensures the project's long-term sustainability and ability to adapt to market conditions.

Our current intention is to minimize external funding, in order to maximally reward users in a similar fashion to Hyperliquid.
