Airdrop
The Vi airdrop is structured to reward meaningful contribution and participation across three key segments, designed to bootstrap the network's most critical components.
Structure
The airdrop is designed to roll out in three phases. The precise details of each phase and distribution within each phase will be announced at a later date. However, roughly we are targeting the following distribution: 50% builders, 35% network usage, 15% community/social engagement.
For builders
The largest portion, 50% of the airdrop allocation, is dedicated to builders. This reflects our core belief that builders are the primary driving force behind ecosystem growth. Vi will establish a council dedicated to fostering partnerships with builders. The primary criteria we use to determine airdrop allocation are: 1) traction, 2) quality of integration, and 3) innovation. Of these, traction is weighted by far the highest.
Note that integration includes both developers who integrate the Vi API and other builders who simply leverage the social identity/network provided by core applications like Rolodex. So for example, a memecoin that provides royalties to the X account of the original designer of theIr IP would qualify for an allocation even if they don’t directly utilize the API.
For users
Network usage accounts for 35% of the airdrop, targeting users who actively engage with applications built on Vi Social. This includes both end-users who claim their pre-generated wallets and those who participate in transactions within the ecosystem. The goal is to reward early adopters who help validate the utility of social identity-bound wallets. The primary metric will be transaction volume on Vi wallets.
For the community
The remaining 15% is allocated to community and social engagement. This portion rewards users who contribute to ecosystem growth through community building, content creation, and social media engagement. This allocation helps ensure organic growth and awareness of Vi Social's infrastructure.
